i am in search of information for the upcoming season 2008-2009 for the first to third division and found your forum, as i compile a list of active albanian football clubs. could you tell me if the kategoria e parė will have 16 teams in this season? if i recall correctly, 4 teams have been relegated, but only two were promoted. plus, i would greatly appreciate it if someone could post a logo/badge of ks tėrbuni pukė, i couldn't find one on the web. and finally, it'd be great if somebody could assist me in finding the same info for the kategoria e dytė & kategoria e tretė (complete list of clubs). how many lower leagues do exist below the fourth level? unfortunately, my albanian is less than rudimentary (bummer), but english, french, german, croat is fine. fale, t. |

Only 2 teams got relegated so it will be again with 18 teams.
The fourth level is the lowest. It is played in a few weeks during the summer, to select two teams that go up to the 3rd level. I dont have a logo for Terbuni. |

thanks for your reply -- i had looked up the relegation info on the rsssf website, where the following teams were listed as relegated:
15.Erzeni Shijak 34 11 6 17 29- 42 39 Relegated 16.Tomori Berat 34 8 7 19 29- 56 31 Relegated 17.Gramshi 34 9 2 23 28- 58 29 Relegated 18.SK Tepelena 34 2 4 28 23-108 10 Relegated which two remain in the second tier? how many teams/subgroups does the fourth level have? if i am not mistaken, this would mean that only some 60-70 clubs actively participate in football competitions when there are no regional or local leagues? thanks again. |

Just Gramshi and Tepelena go down as far as I know. The fourth level is not an actual league. Depends on how many teams apply to participate. It's usually around 8-10 teams that play each other within 1-2 weeks. All the games are played in Tirana, probably in the same field. Thats right, probably around 60 teams. |

thanks much for the info -- i'd like to get back to you on the fourth league (is it still called kategoria e trete?) once that competition is under way. sorry for being a pest, but i'm a bit of a completist.

You're welcome. Yes it's still called Kategoria e Tretė I'm not sure when it starts, and there's usually no news about it. Most of the time we only know the 2 new teams that go up when the 2nd Division starts |

well, it's all a question whether you have the money or not. in albania unfortunately, you don't have it, which means there are no investments in building appropriate training and youth facilities. those would be basic steps towards improvement.
does anybody know when the new season starts (dates) for parė & dytė? by then the groups and participating teams should be confirmed, i suppose. |
