Eshte shqiptar, por ka preferuar te luaje per Serbine, ndonese toka ame e ka kerkuar me ngulm. Miralem Sulejmani, shqiptari qe militon per kombin serb dhe me skuadren holandeze te Herenvenit, eshte blere nga Ajaksi i Amsterdamit per nje shifer rekord nga klubi kryeqytetas i Holandes, plot 16.25 milione euro. Per 19-vjecarin, Ajaksi ka paguar shifren me te larte te historise se futbollit holandez. Sulmuesi i ri e kishte mbyllur kampionatin me 15 gola ne 34 ndeshje. Blerja e tij ishte vene si kusht nga Marko Van Basten.
